Hej,

First of all sorry for posting this in English ! I am Dutch and living in Stockholm and my swedish skills are 'under construction'.

I was an active biker in The Netherlands, but since I moved I haven't touched my Cannondale besides placing it around in the garage when it's standing in the way. I really want to get started again, but with my current condition I will be needing to start at the bottom I am afraid.

In NL we have mainy mountainbike trails that are well indicated by signs. Upfront you can read more specifics and see how many kilometers etc etc. I have been trying to google stuff for Sweden, but the Dutch sides don't show much in or nearby the Stockholm area.

Do any of you know if we have these kind of trails in Sweden and preferable in the nearby of Stockholm ? Tack så jätte mycket !!

the NICK-trail in ursvik is one of the few dedicated MTB trails.

Hej March and welcome. Just post a "Ride request" on here. "Hi, Im march..etc etc.. Would anyone guide me etc etc..". People that dont know each other team up for rides through this site all the time. That would probably be the easiest way for you to get going. Trails in general are not marked by signs here.

I think it’s a good idea to tell what part of sthlm you live in. It’s always nice with trails close to home..:)

Oh! Dämmit! You live really close to many good trails! Grimsta is one. It´s trails all the way from vällingby to Judanskogen, trought Södra Ängby etc...

And i´m sorry for my english...

Get a good map e.g. Gröna Kartan covers the Stockholm area in 7-8 sheets and has ha resolution that's enough for most trails. Besides the NICK trail there are no MTB-trails, just very nice trails just around.

and of course, keep visit happy. We do ride sometimes...:)
